ADHD, Relationships and Kink with Cate Osborn

In this episode, Hannah is joined by Cate Osborn, who is a certified sex educator with ADHD, a mental health advocate and full-time content creator. Cate joins Hannah to talk about how typical understanding of ADHD has let down women and minority genders, having ADHD and dating, and how ADHD and kink can intersect. Cate unpacks rejection sensitivity and time blindness, discusses the relationship between ADHD and consent, and shares her opinion on why kink is a great tool for managing stimulation. Finally, Hannah and Cate discuss relationship dynamics where one person has ADHD and the other(s) doesn’t, the moral obligation to treat people with compassion, and how communication is crucial in all relationships.

Cate Osborn (aka Catieosaurus- she/they) is a certified sex educator and full-time content creator known for her frank conversations about living life with ADHD and depression/chronic pain. After earning two Masters degrees in Shakespeare from Mary Baldwin University, she worked as the Entertainment Director at the Georgia Renaissance Festival. After transitioning to full-time content creation during the pandemic, she gained almost two million followers in just under a year. Her work focuses funny, honest conversations about ADHD advocacy, disability awareness and advocacy in sex and sex education. Her area of interest is primarily focused on the neurodivergent relationships, especially in the kink community.
