Gender Diversity in Relationships and Non-Binary Masturbation with Dee
In this episode, Hannah is joined by Dee (they/them), who is a non-binary qualified sex educator in the UK. Dee tells us all about their MA in gender, sex, and sexuality at Birkbeck, and the complexities of looking back at gender diversity in history. They and Hannah talk about why it’s important to feel free to try or change labels, and Dee’s relationship with the labels trans and non-binary. Dee discusses how masturbation as a non-binary person allows them to to explore their own sexuality and pleasure divorced from genitals and how sex toys can be really gender affirming within sex by allowing them to explore different roles. Finally, Dee and Hannah chat about non binary relationships and what it’s like coming out and transitioning whilst in a previously cis het relationship, and Dee gives advice about how to help guide your partner to being gender affirming in your relationship and in sex.
